ARKITERM MALLA 160 is a fiberglass reinforcing mesh designed to be covered in the mortar base layer within Atro's ARKITERM external thermal insulation systems (ETICS). Its open structure and optimal tensile strength allow for uniform stress distribution, preventing cracks due to expansion, settlement, or structural movement.
Essential in the installation of the ARKITERM system, it reinforces the dimensional stability of base mortars such as ARKITERM BASE and ARKITERM PEGAMALLA , improving the durability of the final finish.

Support preparation:
Make sure the insulation backing is well adhered and the surface is flat and clean.
First layer of mortar:
Spread a continuous layer of ARKITERM BASE or ARKITERM PEGAMALLA 2-3 mm thick over the surface.
Mesh placement:
While the mortar is still fresh, lay the mesh with a minimum overlap of 10 cm between the layers. Embed the mesh with a smooth trowel, ensuring it is centered in the base layer.
Regularization layer:
Apply a second layer of mortar (1-2 mm) over the mesh to completely cover it. Level with a trowel.
Cured:
Let it dry for at least 24 hours before applying the decorative layer.
